BACKSTORY: In my younger days, I thought Palm Springs was a snoozer. Now that I'm older, I appreciate its lack of things to do and forced relaxation. Actually, there is plenty to do in Palm Springs, but just don't expect a hustling metropolis. It is mainly a community for older folks and tourists who enjoy the VERY warm and dry year-round climate.
