Kathleen Turner

BACKSTORY: She is one of my very favorite actresses. She hit the big screen running with her 1981 debut in “Body Heat.” Likened to the femme fatales of the 1940’s, Turner displayed star power and presence that had not been seen in years. Rather than allow herself to be typecast, she has chosen roles that were different and often risky. This is why she has continued to grow as an actress, all the while battling some very serious health problems. Her 2008 autobiography is a worthwhile read, Send Yourself Roses.
