World of Color

BACKSTORY (June 11, 2010—Present): is a nighttime show at Disney California Adventure that cost $75,000,000 to create. Designed by Walt Disney Creative Entertainment with music arranged by Mark Hammond and Dave Hamilton (performed by the London Symphony Orchestra). The show is a fantastic medley of Disney musical hits that play while over 1200 fountains of water shoot up into brightly colored sprays. Clips from Disney faves are played using high-definition projections on mist screens. A new viewing area in Paradise Pier was created specifically for World of Color. Viewers close to the Paradise Pier Bay get wet; this viewing area is called “The Splash Zone.”
