BACKSTORY: Canal Street is the main business street located on the edge of the French Quarter. Here you can ride a streetcar, take in a show at the Saenger Theatre, or perhaps have a meal at the Palace Restaurant. You'll also find the Crowne Plaza Hotel...but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it; there are plenty of other choices in the city!
